The 7th Annual Fit58 Center Education Foundation 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run or Walk  is Saturday, October 5, 2019. This fun-for-all-ages community walk/run benefits all students in the Center community! We're excited to once again partner with the South KC Chamber and start/finish our event at the South Kansas City Block Party – with live entertainment, local food vendors and food trucks, carnival games, fire/police vehicle tours, and more!  Our race starts a bit later this year - 9AM - so you can enjoy the finish line festival!  We'll start/finish to the north of SunFresh and South of Blue Moose in a vehicle-free section of the parking lot.  All current Center School District students may participate free of charge!

About the Center Education Foundation

The Center Education Foundation is a community based 501(c) 3 non-profit that is focused on enhancing educational opportunities for children in the Center School District community.  The Foundation provides grant money to Center teachers and staff so that they can provide educational experiences for their students that are not included in the regular District budget.  Recent examples include helping to fund travel to Costa Rica for advanced Spanish students, outreach programs to encourage low income families to participate in the Parents As Teachers Program, and bringing in resource teachers to help elementary students learn about bats and weather.
