Run or Walk with Us Homecoming Weekend!
The 5th Annual Center Education Foundation Fit 58 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is Saturday, September 30th   at Center High School.  5K and 1-Mile events begin at 8:00 a.m.  All proceeds benefit the Center Education Foundation, to help fund classroom projects at all grade levels.

This year's Homecoming Theme: Rumble in the Jungle!

All Center students may participate free of charge and will receive a race t-shirt.  Center families are invited to join in the fun and will receive a race packet/t-shirt with any donation to the Center Education Foundation.  Donations help fund classroom projects at ALL grade levels in the Center School District. 

All Center Students will receive a finisher’s medal.  Prizes given in multiple categories.  Show your Center spirit!



Can't make the race but still want to help the Center Education Foundation?  Sleep-In for the Foundation.  

Race Fees:

SUGGESTED Donation of $25 for 5K

SUGGESTED Donation for the 1 mile walk is $15.

NEW!  Sleep for the Shirt:  with your $20 donation - can't participate on race day, but donate to the foundation and get a sleeper t-shirt!

FREE for all current Center School District Students!

The Course:  The out-and-back course begins inside James Hoelzel stadium at Center High School, enters Santa Fe Hills neighborhood and turns around at Boone Elementary School.  A water stop will be located at Boone.

About the Center Education Foundation

The Center Education Foundation is a community based 501(c) 3 non-profit that is focused on enhancing educational opportunities for children in the Center School District community.  The Foundation provides grant money to Center teachers and staff so that they can provide educational experiences for their students that are not included in the regular District budget.  Recent examples include helping to fund travel to Costa Rica for advanced Spanish students, outreach programs to encourage low income families to participate in the Parents As Teachers Program, and bringing in resource teachers to help elementary students learn about bats and weather.

Waiver: I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running this event. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry fee, I, for myself, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Center School District, Center Foundation, City of Kansas City, all sponsors, their representatives and successors, for all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event.
